About John, Rich & Company

 

 

 

Jeff John, CPA and Dan Rich, CPA became business partners and formed John, Rich & Company on September 16, 2007. However, their history together stretches back much further:

Jeff John founded the firm in July of 2004 in Selma and began to work with J. Fred Byrd. John, Byrd & Company was formed for a short time to assist Fred with his transition into retirement. After Fred’s departure, Jeff changed the name of the firm to John & Company to reflect this change and this name remained until September 2007.

Jeff and Dan graduated from Fresno Pacific University and worked together previously at Tamiyasu, Smith, Horn & Braun in Fresno, CA. Dan left that firm five years before the partnership to work at Claiborne & Associates in Oakhurst, CA. Dan and Jeff remained friends and, in much of their time together, found themselves discussing tax strategy and ideas for various clients. As Jeff’s business grew and Dan desired to serve his clients more independently, the business partnership was born and exists today. In December 2013, the firm relocated to Fresno to better serve its existing client base.
